ROBOT MILLING 

SGMT offers robot milling module featuring KUKA robot and powered by SprutCAM X. Robot milling is more flexible and price friendly compare to normal CNC machining center in which robot milling can perform up to 5 axis machining strategy and offer bigger working range. One of the best solution for model or prototype machining.

CUSTOMIZE SOLUTIONS:
SMALL ROBOT OR INDUSTRIAL LEVEL

Basically offering two type of robot milling module. The Cabinet type module is featuring a small robot confined within a cell / cabinet; mainly for light duty, research and small scale modeling machining work. It is recommend for lab or workshop that is more suitable for a compact machining station.

Open space module is flexible with robot size and will be surrounded by fences integrated with safety sensor. Open space module is an industrial level machining module that can be freely customize with additional feature such as rail, rotary table and vacuum system to keep work area clean. The work envelope is bigger and thus machining of large object can be achieved.

Our robot milling is powered by SprutCAM Robot module which

is a  single environment for the offline programming (OLP) of industrial robots with efficient robot machining solution for the rapid creation of complex collision-free 3D movements in native 6 or more axes code  

SprutCAM Robot offers an extensive range of tool path strategies working directly with 3D models and different robot application:

  • Milling strategies: 2 axis milling, 3 axis milling, rotary milling and 5 axis milling

  • Cutting strategies

  • Welding

  • Cladding

  • Painting

All tool paths are generated taking into account the specific robot kinematics. The robot’s additional sixth and other degrees of freedom can be optimized either automatically or manually to extend the reach zone, avoid collisions or improve machining conditions.
